July 29th: When we woke up this morning,
instead of feeling super duper excited and pumped, we felt
like we wanted to die. Today is the day we have all been
waiting, dreaming, and working for, the National Finals.
After somehow managing to eat some food, we headed for the
field. When we arrived, everyone was pretty quiet, thinking
about our intense opponent and what we were going to do in the
game. It seemed like the temperature rose as we got closer to
game time, and before we knew it, we were walking on the field
for our final walkout of the season. To be honest, we
dominated the first half, and had several opportunities to
score; however, our team could not put the ball in the back of
the net. Finally, in the middle of the second half we got a
penalty kick, and Gillian was ready to take it and make it.
Unfortunately, a couple minutes later PDA also received a
penalty kick and scored. We were unable to score again, but
we were able to hold them off until the end of double
overtime. By the end of penalty kicks, we were named the
number one team in the nation!! It was all a blur, but it was
better than any dream we’ve ever had. There was a lot of
screaming and crying, and screaming some more. We couldn't ask
for a better way to end such a spectacular season. Hope to see
you next year!

July 28th: OH MY GOD!!
Today was our day off because we are in
the finals tomorrow!! We started off with breakfast at 8:00
am. After breakfast we rode on Eddy’s back up to our rooms
and she dropped us off with a smile (and a wink). Then…. We
got ready for our 20 minute jog around the creepy, deserted
parking lot. After our jog our sweaty bodies were piled into
our Cadillac’s and Ferraris and we cruised down the street in
our six-fours.
Meanwhile, back at the hotel the showers
were waiting….. We put on our super cute collared t-shirts
and skipped along to the Simpson’s house and we popped our
collars all the way through. Our home-made lunch was
delicious as was Mr. Romine’s fly soccer video. We sat with
Grandma Simpson and watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of
Secrets as we sipped our pumpkin juice down into our bellies.
After lunch we drove with hydraulics down
the streets of Texas. We got ready and drove off to
Benihana’s. Our waitress was very nice and re-filled our
water……. A lot! We had a nice time.

July 27th: “Bang, Bang” The
angry knocking on the door startled us out of slumber. I
jogged to the door………opened it…………and Tad gave us the
thumbs up, leaving without uttering another word.
Immediately, we turned up the tunes, and
started to dance, breaking out into a cold sweat. Throwing on
our highlighter uniforms, I sprinted
out the door and jumped of balcony, releasing my parachute,
landing safely in the slippery wet fountain. Jumping into the
vans I tossed my super sweet tunes to the driver. I began to
visualize my incredible performance., then………. We warmed up.
The game started with the shrill screech
of the ref’s yellow whistle. As the game wore on, the
competition skyrocketed. But in the end, we tied the Dallas,
Texans 2-2.
Next stop, Mediterranean Grill. I stuffed my face with the
lunch special until my uniform busted at the seams. We
frolicked to room 418, where two wonderful people waited to
give us massages. With our muscles relaxed, we hopped back in
the vans, speeding off to Glorias Fresh Mexican Café. We had
a “fiesta” into the late night, which to us was 7:00pm.
Rolling my 6-4 back to the hotel, we had a stretching escapade
in the conference room. Now we are in the dimly lit room and
we sign off for this beautiful day. I Love You!

July 26th: Today was our
hardest day yet. We woke up at 5:00 am Texas time (which is
3:00 am Cali time) to go to our game.
We played PDA and they gave us a good
challenge. We tied them 0-0. Afterwards we went straight to
lunch to Nordstrom’s Café, our best lunch here. Then, we
came back and watched a movie and rested. When the movie was
done, we all got ready for dinner at Grand Luxe Café. During
our walk back to the hotel it started to rain. It’s very
humid in Texas. We all met at 7:00 pm for a pregame talk with
Tad.
We feel so lucky to be here and hope we can win it.

Today is Wednesday July 25, 2007 our first game day. We
woke up about 6:45 am at a quick breakfast in our rooms, then
went to the fields. Our game was at 9:30 am against ELA from
Illinois….
We were prepared, came out well and pulled off a win of
3-0. We expect all of the competition to be hard and our
opponent came out aggressive. Our rhythm was fortunately
working for us. After the game we went to get sandwiches at
the Galleria. We got back to the hotel and watched movies and
had team bonding. Then we all got ready for dinner at BJ’s.
We came back to the hotel at 7 for a team meeting and in bed
by 8:30. We’re pumped for our game tomorrow and we are so
fortunate and blessed to be here.

July 24th: It’s the second day of Nationals in
Frisco, Texas. The highlight of our day was definitely the
player luncheon. We had a chance to meet different teams from
all over regions I through IV. During the luncheon we
listened to many speakers who congratulated us on this once in
a lifetime opportunity. We also watched an inspiring video
constructed by the US Youth Soccer Association. After the
luncheon we all went to the hotel to watch a movie and to get
ready to go to The Olive Garden. We are now ready for our
first game tomorrow!

July 23rd: So, we woke up pretty
early, around 4:00 a.m. to be at the airport by 5:00. Our
plane ride was around 2 hours long; some people slept, watched
movies, read magazines/Harry Potter. By the time we got to
Dallas, the team was ready to eat and get to our hotel.
Our hotel is really nice; we are sharing rooms with each
other, and that’s fun. After we went to our rooms, we ate
lunch at Corner Bakery (which is really good) and quickly
after we had to leave for our first practice in the 85%
humidity of Dallas; even just jogging around the field made us
drenched…. That’s alright, we have our A/C in our big white
vans to cool us down.
