DES MOINES, Iowa (July 30, 2005) – The 2006 US Youth
Soccer National Champions were crowned today at James W. Cownie
Soccer Park where the top 48 teams in the country met to
conclude the final leg of the 2006 US Youth Soccer National
Championship Series. After this week’s three rounds of
preliminary play, the top two teams in the country remained,
Under-14 through Under-19 age groups, to play for their
respective national championship cup.

(July 28, 2006) – Today the field of 48 has been narrowed
from the top four to the top two teams in each age group. These
24 teams are now one game away from realizing their dream of
becoming a national champion. The play at the James W. Cownie
Soccer Park in Des Moines, Iowa was second to none as teams
completed their preliminary round play to determine the
championship finals on Sunday beginning at 8:00 AM CDT.

Streak still alive for Eclipse Select Under-18 Girls and
Arsenal FC Under-17 Boys DES MOINES, Iowa (July 27,
2006) – The US Youth Soccer National Championships continued
Thursday evening with the second night of preliminary round play
at James W. Cownie Soccer Park. Each team played its second of
three preliminary round games looking to add another tally in
their win column. The two teams with the most points at the
conclusion of tomorrow’s play will advance to the championship

was a must-win situation for many of the teams looking to

matches, with the exception of the 7:00 PM games (Under-17 Girls

of the 2006 US Youth Soccer National Championships concluded
today with preliminary round play in the Under-17 boys and
Under-14 girls divisions at James W. Cownie Soccer Park.
Hershey (E-PA) Attacked today against the
Under-14 Girls Michigan Hawks who hadn’t allowed a goal through
the US Youth Soccer State or Regional competition. In the 60th
minute Alyssa “Skeeter” Grell scored off a shot to the top
