We woke up early on a sunny Saturday morning we started the day off with a light practice.  We went over our game plan, set pieces and PK’s to get ready for the big game… boring but we have to do what we have to do.  We heard our opponent was arriving on the field, so we quickly packed up everything and skedaddled for the bleachers for a pre-game pep talk.  After we all hopped into the “mini vans” and listened to the tunes on the radio or iPods.  Once we arrived back at the hotel we split off and watched some of the dance competition downstairs, some took ice baths, napping, watching TV, talk on the phone, pretty much what girls do best.  After a quick bite to eat in the hotel we went to the meeting room to stretch and talk about what we need to do to be prepared for tomorrow’s game.  When we finished we went straight to running into our opponents at Macaroni Grill.  “Con-cen-tra-tion, Concentration is the game, keep the rhythm, keep the rhythm just the same…” It seems whenever we are bored waiting to be seated we play this hand and mind game.  It entertains us while we wait and makes us laugh and smile! ;-) After finishing up a fat DELICIOUS meal we go back to the hotel to rest before our big game.  We can’t believe that it’s already the National Final… it’s like a dream come true! Well its time to get our game faces on and hit the beds, so it looks like we will be seeing you bright and early.  Now it’s in Gods hands.

Love always,

P.S. Time for war Baby!!!

We woke up early at 7:00 a.m. on the dot. We all got ready for our big game against P.D.A. Two of the rooms were lagging because between both of them, they had no tooth paste. We got into the vans and in one of the vans, girls were belting out the song “My Hump.” We got to the fields and did a great warm-up. Both teams fought hard and in the end the Slammers came out victorious (2-0), with our two outsiders, Christina and Alyssa, scoring a goal each. With our stomachs full of hunger, we went to Chevy’s and had huge Mexican lunches. Half of us had “Ooeey Gooey Chewy Sundaes” and the other half went across the street to McDonalds and had McFlurrys. After our wonderful lunch we went back to the hotels and had some R & R.

Today our game was scheduled at 7:00 p.m. We had a long day ahead of us. We finally got to sleep in until 9:00 a.m. It was heaven. We found many ways to fill up our time. First off, we made our way to Denny’s and ate a butt load of filling fatty foods. Later on, we made lots of commotion and chaos playing an intense game of catch-Phrase. We eventually calmed down and took naps and watched movies. We ate salad and breadsticks while watching LB (Laguna Beach). After we ate we put all our focus in our meeting. As we made our way to the fields it suddenly began raining and thundering. We sat in the mini-vans patiently waiting for Ziad’s next commands. After much anticipation and nervousness from the loud screaming thundering we waited under the baseball stadium until the fields were open. We stretched with Ed and mentally prepared for our delayed game. 8:30 game began we fought a hard battle. And at 10:00 we finally got to make our way to the hotel and get a good nights rest for our next game.

We woke up at 7 am.  The day began off with breakfast.  Everyone was extremely nervous and excited for the start of the first game.  At the field we had calm and focused warm up that prepared us for the game.  We did the usual routine, the walk out and the prayer.  IT’S SLAMMER TIME: The very start of the game we came out strong and began to dominate.  Within the first ten minutes Mo scored an amazing volley off of Ashlee’s header.  After that we were all pumped up and never let down.  We ended the first half with Kellye and Jessica making the score 3 to 0.  Z and Walid motivated us to close the game and come out strong.  Early in the second half Ashlee scored a great header off a corner kick.  We kept pushing until the game ended. With a final score of 6 to 0 with Kellye and Leslie White scoring.

Back at the hotel we got an hour to rest and take showers.  After we went out to lunch at Bennigans.  At 4 o’clock we had a team meeting to discuss and prepare us for the game tomorrow.  After dinner we had a surprise waiting for us.  The wonderful Press family arranged an amazing boat trip around the lake.  Followed with a beautiful firework show.  The boat had yummy chocolate covered strawberries to eat.  Everyone enjoyed the awesome night they had planned for us.  It was a great ending to the perfect day.  Thank you so much Press’s.

Love,

7:00 am was wake-up call, it was a special moment for all of us. Then we got some food. We ate lucky charms, Mini Wheats, and good selection of cereals. Next we went to practice for an hour. The car ride was extremely sweaty. At our hotel we had an hour to get ready for the banquet. With hair straight and make-up, looking good we made our way down. We all looked fantastic and ready to strut our stuff. Terror struck when we almost got stuck in the elevator. Luckily, we made it! The banquet was a blast as we watched videos and watched a guy talk while eating mashed potatoes, chicken, and carrots. We immensely enjoyed the entire meal. Later, we hung out in our rooms and played board games, gossiped, napped, and entertained ourselves in more that one way. Let’s just say we got a few complaints from the hotel. For dinner we went to an Italian restaurant and loaded on carbs and whatever. Back to the hotel we immediately took a walk around the hotel. We digested our food but our bladders were about to bust. We all look behind us and Kelly and Kristin were popping a squat in the parking lot. Then we went to get ready for bed and prepared ourselves for the big day ahead.

Well today we woke up at 7:00 A.M. left the hotel at 8:00 and headed over to the Disney Wide World of Sports, It is awesome, so huge and so beautiful. The fields are unbelievable and a dream to play on!!! We trained for an hour only because we have a scheduled time limit. It was cool seeing other teams and the 17’s training for their nationals. We did awesome today at practice. It was definitely a sweaty, sticky, and hot practice but it will be worth it in the end when we’re in at the championship SUNDAY!! We left and got our GRUB ON at IHOP. We were so happy to see food. After GRUBBEN we came to the hotel took showers and slept for 2 hours..OH HOW NICE IT WAS TO SLEEP…After we woke up at 3:00 we had to go to the meeting and go over our plays and our game plans. Then we headed over to the tennis courts and had about 30 minute practice. Then almost the whole team went into the pool right after practice when we were all still in our practice gear but it felt so AWESOME! We came back and got ready for Mimi’s Café. Then we came back and went on a 10 minute walk. Now we our just hanging out in our rooms, playing board games, listening to music, and or course talking on the phone! Lights out at 10:00 so we have to go. Can’t wait to get home to bring back the National Championship! Bye parents we love you guys!!

Today we had to wake up at 7 which felt like 4!!! >:-O We drove over 2 hours to practice and tour University of Florida. We were told it was only going to be a hour and fifteen minutes so we just slept the whole way.(SHHHH don’t tell Frank ;-)  We practiced hard in the heat with the dragon flies. The coach rolled up in a VESBA SCOOTER!!! The campus was gorgeous! We saw the dorms and amazingly THREE ALLIGATORS!!! We all took an ice bath in 55 degree water. We tried for 10 minutes but most of us couldn’t last. We ate lunch in the cafeteria. We left anxious and ready to go see Mickey Mouse!! We went to MGM and had a great time. The night ended with Fantasmic, the magical water show when Mickey battles the felons of many Disney classics. We left with smiles on our faces and Mickey in our hearts.<3   LOVE

Bright and early at LAX this wonderful Saturday morning as we begin yet another journey through our soccer careers. The difference: we are now embarking on the final leg of the National Cup series, to be held at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

So, as we’re flying four and a half down to Florida, Zee instructs us NOT TO SLEEP during the entire flight so we can be better adapted to the time change. UGH!! Talk about total boredom. So to keep ourselves entertained, we pretty much depended on magazines, ipods, (or CD players) the in-flight movie and each others company. (Oh, and reading books of course)

Later, when we arrived in Florida, the heat and humidity hit us like a hurricane! (No pun intended) We collected our bags, and headed straight to TGI Fridays for some dinner. After dinner we finally made our way to the hotel to get un-packed and get some sleep.

We’ll keep you guys updated though! Talk to you later! LOVE
