Crowned at the US Youth Soccer National Championships |
ORLANDO, FL (July 25, 2004) - US Youth Soccer National Champions were
crowned today at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. Champions in the Boys and Girls
Under-14 through Under-19 age groups from each regional event met to battle for the US
Youth Soccer National Championship.
The Far West Region took home top honors on the day with seven National
Championships, the Midwest Region followed with two and Region I earned one. The
California South State Associations won four National Championships, followed by
California-North and Missouri with two each. Michigan, Illinois, Maryland and Hawaii each
take home a National Championship.
In Under-19 action, the HSC Bulls '85 of Hawaii won the island state's
first-ever US Youth Soccer National Championship, defeating CASL Elite of North Carolina

Parings Set for the US Youth Soccer National Championships |
ORLANDO, FL (July 23, 2004) -Preliminary play at the US Youth Soccer
National Championships came to a close this evening as 24 teams advanced to Sunday's
Championship round at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Michigan Hawks downed Georgia's United Quest Red '85 2-0 in the
Under-15 Girls division, with goals from Emily Esbrook in the first minute and Danielle
Toney at the 66-minute mark.
"I'm happy with the way they gutted it out," said Michigan

Parings Set for the US Youth Soccer National Championships |
ORLANDO, FL (July 23, 2004) The final round of preliminary play at
the US Youth Soccer National Championships began today with a flourish of goals as teams
secured spots in Sundays Championship round at Disneys Wide World of Sports
Complex.
It was an early morning for the Under-17 division with a 7:30 a.m. wake
up call. The Windy City Pride (Illinois) Girls found themselves down 1-0 early in the
first half to the Dallas Texans 87 Red, but scored five unanswered goals in the second
half to advance to Sundays Championship game. Windy Citys Brittany Bock put an
exclamation point on the victory scoring three of her teams five goals in an 18-minute,
second half span. The Pride will play So Cal United for the Under-17 Championship match on
Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
In the Under-17 Boys division, ISC Strikers (California South) and

ORLANDO, FL (July 22, 2004) -The US Youth Soccer National Championships
continued today at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex with evening matches in the
Under-15 group. Friday's games will be the last preliminary round matches and will decide
the Championship pairings for Sunday, July 25.
The Mustang Blast (California North) advance to the Championship match
in the Under-15 Girls division with a 2-0 record on the tournament. The Mustangs rallied
from a 2-goal deficit against the Michigan Hawks, courtesy of Lindsay Pierce's go-ahead
goal in extra minutes. The Mustang Blast are four-time Far West Regional Champions, but
have yet to win a US Youth Soccer National Championship.

continued today at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex with morning matches in the
Under-14 and Under-19 groups.
The Camarillo Eagles (Cal-South), together since they played Under-10,

continued today at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex with evening action in the
Under-16 group.
The Boys Under-16 division continues to excite with two well-contested
matches, each ending in 1-1 draws. Defending US Youth Soccer National Champion Casa Mia
Bays (Maryland) found the back of the net at the 67-minute mark, with Chicago Magic's Paul
Kopec tying the match just nine minutes later.

continued this morning at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, with action in the
Under-18 and Under-17 divisions.
Weston Under-17 Boys, from host state Florida, downed the Albertson Red
