GAME DAY!!! After the hard loss against Windy City in the last 30 seconds of the game our team was feeling a little down. But we knew that as a team we could overcome anything that is thrown our way. Today we had a game at 7:30 am against Bethesda, this game was very important because it would determine if we were to advance to the finals or not. Together as a team we battled, we fought and we were able to overcome adversity, and win 2-0 and advance to the finals. We will be playing against Windy City and we are ready for the challenge!!! After the game everyone was welcome to go their separate ways with their families again until 9 pm tonight.

Our day off...Around 8:00 am the team met down in the lobby to head out for breakfast at IHOP. Then after IHOP everyone was welcome to go there separate ways with their families. I decided to go with a group of about 9 girls to go to this place called SkyCoaster, which is the world's tallest SkyCoaster, it is over 300 feet (it was intense). After the SkyCoaster we had to meet back at the hotel for our team dinner at 5 pm. We went to dinner at Macaroni Grill. After dinner we came back to the hotel and went to bed at 8 because we have to wake up bright and early for our 3rd and very important game against   Bethesda. Well until next time...

This morning we woke up nice and early to eat breakfast and start the preparation for our 9:30 game. After playing a hard game the night before some of us were a little bit grumpy this morning. I tried to pump up Caitlyn by punching her in the arm, not being a very happy morning person she just stared at me and gave me a death look. So needless to say, I left her alone for the rest of the morning. Our warm-up space was shared between five different teams, so it was kind of awkward. Game time. Our game was a hard fought battle, after coming behind twice, we ended up losing the game in the last 30seconds. Heart breaking? Yes. But we are very much still in this tournament and now we have a day off tomorrow and then its time to face Bethesda bright and early in the morning on Friday. Keep us in your thoughts as we will be battling for our season and berth into the finals on Sunday.

GAME DAY!!!! FINALLY!!!! Our two chaperones supplied us with a wonderful breakfast from Win Dixie market. After we all ate our bagels and drank our Gatorade, we headed back to our rooms to relax until our pre-game lunch at TGIF. It was there that we celebrated Taylor's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR!). Next, we went back to the hotel to relax a little more before our game. The excitement and nerves started to build as game time got closer. On our way to the game our music was bumpin' and our hip coach busted down a few moves for us (she learned how to 'lean back'). We arrived at the fields early to check in and go to the bathroom before warm-up. We definitely made our mark on the Disney Complex as we screamed 'What time is it baby' GAME TIME! We were going to be playing under the lights, on perfect grass with a super duper team, I knew the game was ours. After warm-up we were already drenched in our sweat due to the extreme humidity. We ended up defeating the Dallas Texans 2-1. Realizing the game turn around was quick we rushed home and got to bed. Now our focus in on Windy City Pride!

Monday we woke up around 8 am and headed to breakfast. After breakfast we all went back to our rooms to get ready for the luncheon at 11:30 am. At 11:10 we all met in the lobby, all dressed up and unrecognizable, had a brief team meeting and then headed to the luncheon. The luncheon included many speakers, two brief championship videos, and a full course lunch. Our training session was cancelled due to rain, therefore we made the best of what we had at the hotel. We went outside, trained on a basketball court did some sprints, and ball work, then we took a 15 minute jog around downtown Disney running through all the kiddie water fountains. On the way back from our run we were extremely sweaty so we all decided to jump in the pool with our clothes on and have a little fun.

Where's So Cal United U17? Well we departed from LAX around 3:30 pm and arrived in Orlando at 11 pm, with much anticipation, hope, anxiety and humility in being included in with the best teams in the nation. Our team includes 18 individuals who have been a close family on and off the field, in the past couple of years. Our motto has always been 'We Do One More' meaning that in all practices and games we make sure we always go beyond what is expected, and as teammates we strive to achieve all of our goals.
