Denise Nannemann
Hall of Fame Inductee 2006
From
1984 to 2004 US Youth Soccer - Region IV was fortunate to have a real
superstar in the region. Denise Nannemann started working in Wyoming
State Soccer Association in 1984 as a recreational coach and over the
next 20 years she also became a competitive club coach, referee, and
secretary of the Wyoming State Soccer Association.
Denise was a driving force in the Region IV Boys
Olympic Development Program from 1996-2004. She gave 8 full years of
service to the Boys Olympic Development Program as camp director and
team administrator.
As such she worked tirelessly to make the Region IV
Boys ODP camp one of the best in the country. She maintained contact
with many of the boys she worked with and who are now playing in
college, professionally in the United States or in foreign countries.
She loved seeing the boys have success in all they did. It was her
dream to see them achieve their dreams. When a team traveled to an
event in the United States or a foreign country, Denise was every
player’s “mom” and she took excellent care of everyone.
Now in soccer retirement she continues to have an
exceptional passion for soccer and the youth involved in the game we all
love. |
